The ladies 1st team finished the most successful season in years last night with an away win against Milngavie. Gillan Cloney and Jennifer Hutchison took all 3 sets, as did Jane Lees and Susan Weanie while Frances Rae and Julie Weanie narrowly lost their 2nd set 7-5 and were forced to concede the 3rd due to injury. With so many injuries, it is a real credit to the players that the team has finished the season winning all but 2 matches.

The Ladies 1st team have continued their successful season by beating Woodend Away last Thursday 6-3 and securing a 5-4 win against Giffnock last night. Jane Lees and Susan Weanie won both home and away, and Frances Rae, who was partnered by Judy Kirkwood then Ann Marie Lees all put in solid performances at 3rd couple. In the home game, it was 4 sets all with Gillian Cloney and Jennifer Hutchison being last on the court and 5-0 down in the deciding set. However, they clawed back to take the final set in a tie break and secure a team win.

THe 1st team had their 2nd victory of the season winning 6-3 at home against Kirkhill 1st, Stephen & Peter lost 3 sets at first to a strong couple, Allan & Alistair won 3 at 2nd and Calum lang in his first outing in the 1st team helped at 3rd for an easy 3 set victory. The team travel away to Craigellen on friday the 19th for their last match of the season hoping for a good result.
